As a lion, I never really liked chasing down antelopes, zebras, and wildebeests. I felt guilty every time I would kill and eat another animal. Plus I kept hearing that meat is bad for your health so I finally made the decision to switch to a vegan diet, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know the “scientists” will tell you that lions have been eating meat for millions of years and that eating like our ancestors will give us the optimal nutrition- a so called “proper lion diet.” They tell us that lions are carnivores. I find that offensive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I mean, I don’t feel like a carnivore! I don’t want to kill and eat other animals! Besides, what if lions are naturally plant eaters? What if a plant based diet is actually healthier? How would we know if we never tried it? Besides I saw lots of other lions on social media saying how much healthier a plant based diet is, so I decided to give it a try. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I made the switch and at first it was great. I started to enjoy my new diet of fruits, veggies, and grains. I felt happier, like I was doing the right thing as I was munching on some tasteless grass. But then, something strange started to happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I began to feel sick all the time. My stomach was always churning, and I had no energy to hunt or play. I got acne. My joints were sore. I felt hungry all the time, no matter how much I ate. I gained fat. I had gas and heartburn. I had brain fog and I felt depressed all the time. Now, I’m not sure what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maybe I’ll try to incorporate some supplements into my diet and see how that goes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maybe I’ll try taking these 15 different medications my doctor prescribed for me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
